We apply PVD Coatings (Physical Vapor Deposition), a thin layer and extra hard layer, whose function is to increase the resistance of the tools to wear and thus their useful life, as well as to notably improve the surface finish of the parts to be produced.
Guhring coatings can be applied on Solid Carbide, High Speed Steel and Tool Grade Steel tools, as well as tools with welded inserts.
In diameters (Ø’s) from 3.00 to 32.00 mm and batches from 5 pieces.
AlTiN-TiAlN
Thanks to its TiAlN coating base, the nano A coating has proven its efficiency in machining stainless steels, although it is also applied for drilling and milling of cast iron, titanium, nickel and chrome-cobalt alloys. Its nano-layer structure delays the development of fractures.
It is a "monolayer" coating, of very high hardness and resistance to oxidation. Ideally used in machining of hardened steels and Ti alloys; It is highly recommended for aerospace materials such as Ti, Inconel and hardened steel, as well as HSC (High Speed Cutting) applications.
The TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating can be applied for drilling and milling on HSS (high speed steel) and Carbide tools and stands out for its cost-benefit ratio. It is worth mentioning that it is widely used for threading applications.
Titanium Aluminum Nitride
The TiAlN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride) coating displays characteristics very similar to the well-known FIRE and nano FIRE. Thanks to its monolayer structure, it is ideal for coating micro-tools.
TiN + TiAIN
The FIRE coating emerged in the late 90’s and nanoFIRE is its evolution. It includes in its composition: Ti, N and Al, which gives it even more hardness than its predecessor and improves its thermal and chemical resistance. It is ideal for coating HSS and carbide and the best choice for drilling and milling steels.
TiAISiN
The steel specialist and the first choice for drilling!
Thanks to its nano-layer structure, this coating has the characteristic of being minimally reactive and has been specially developed for drilling low-alloy steels, at medium to low cutting speeds.
Drilling coal and free cutting and manganese steel at low and medium cutting speeds
TiAlN- ZrN
The specialist in Ti!
It is a multilayer coating, in which Al has been replaced by Zr, which reduces its chemical reaction in contact with Ti alloys. It is a coating that offers notable advantages in the machining of Al cast iron (<10% Si) and prevents the formation of overgrown edges like no other.

TiAISiN
With a hardness of 5500 HV, it is one of the hardest coatings on the market thanks to its special nano-structure constructed of TiAlN and SiN. Therefore, the Signum coating offers particularly high heat resistance and high diffusion resistance at the same time.
The automotive, aerospace and construction industries benefit from Signum’s extreme toughness for difficult-to-machine materials.
